Described by The Times as "one of the UK’s liveliest musical forces (and) foremost violinists", Madeleine has been nominated for Grammy and BBC Music Awards. She has appeared at the BBC Proms and is a highly creative personality, devising the unique Red Violin festival. This international, eclectic celebration of the fiddle across the arts, held throughout Cardiff, led Madeleine to be shortlisted for European Women of Achievement and Creative Briton Awards.

Richard Blackford Composer:
Following awards such as the Tagore Gold Medal, Ricordi Prize and Mendelssohn Scholarship, Richard Blackford was Composer-in-Residence at Balliol College Oxford, and later to the Brno Philharmonic in the Czech Republic.
As a media composer Richard was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music for his 4-hour score for the CNN/BBC series Millennium, and in 2015 was awarded Die Goldene Deutschland for services to music in Germany.
He has collaborated with Ted Hughes, Maya Angelou and Tony Harrison and is a Director of the charity Music For Youth, President of the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, a Trustee of the Aberystwyth MusicFest and Trustee of The Bach Choir.
